A printed magazine to simplify, and enhance the accomplishment of extra curricular projects during the summer vacation period.
The Summer Packet initiative was born from the necessity to simplify, and at the same time, enhance the accomplishment of extra curricular projects during the summer vacation period. Since 2017, our team have been developing this initiative together with the AcadeMir Charter Schools with great impact and acceptance due to its benefits. It is our intention to transfer this experience to any school with similar practices. The process:
Content Review
All the content received is reviewed and most of the pages are digitally retouched in order to repair the original files, or just to create/add a new visual imaginary that supports the main content. Blurry images, low-quality resolution files, or non-attractive graphic elements are part of the multiple reasons behind fixing these pages. The final version will enclose the effort to bring a better end-printed product. No matter the year grade or the subject, there is always a solution for every page.
Before
In this journey, the Family is responsible for the download and printing, commonly in single sheets creating possible miss paper. The original content sometimes hasn’t the ideal quality. This process requires the use of many resources such as printer ink, paper and a couple of minutes. Most of the time it re-appear a few days before the '“Back to School Day”, adding rush in this important task.
Content provided by the client
After
This is a very good opportunity to send out a direct message to the community about how oriented is your school. Each kid receives a printed and a stapled issue, on time, close to finishing the school year. Fair print quality and digital retouch on each content are provided at this version. The color pages are used to re-mark useful and diverse info, social media channels and diverse promotions to increase its visibility.

The Proposal
The final product is 28 pages printed & stapled issue. The Front & Back cover is in color, however, the inside is printed in Black & White. Why 28? In our experience, it is the regular approximate amount of pages that can collect the info needed. In case of need less or more that 28, of course it could be settled, just let us know.
Requirements (For Content Delivery)
In case you think this is a good idea for your institution, the school will provide the accurate and necessary files, in a digital format. Allowed formats: PDF, JPG, JPEG, TIFF, EPS, PPTX, DOCX. Multiple pages PDF are allowed. To share the files we encourage you to use the WeTransfer app service using the email: maikel.ma2@gmail.com.
